Polycarboxylate High - range Water Reducer (PCE) is a kind of high - performance concrete admixture with polycarboxylate polymer as the main component. It belongs to the third - generation water reducers (the first generation: wood calcium - based; the second generation: naphthalene - based/melamine - based).

According to application requirements, polycarboxylate water reducers can be classified as follows:
  • Standard Type: Offers universal high water reduction, suitable for conventional concrete.
  • Early Strength Type: Blended with early strength components to accelerate early strength development, ideal for winter construction or emergency repair projects.
  • Retarding Type: Prolongs setting time, suitable for mass concrete or high-temperature environments.
  • Slump Retention Type: Enhances slump retention capacity, designed for long-distance transportation or complex pouring processes.
